In most of the cases Polycythemia Vera is not detected earlier, when we get tested for other ailment then we found that we are suffering from Polycythemia Vera.

• When you feel shortness of breath or find difficulties breathing difficulties while lying down.

• After getting warm shower or bath, you feel itching.

• Your Skin gets Red unusually.

• Headache and Faintness.

• You feel fullness on left upper abdomen.

• Pain in Chest.

• Tiredness.

• Weakness in your hands, feet, arms or legs. Also feel numbness, tingling or burning.

Polycythemia Vera causes the blood flow to slow down because it thickens the blood, this could develop into blood clot. This blood clot can cause you stroke.

Contact Emergency Services immediately when if you have any of the following signs or symptoms of a stroke:

• Feeling of weakness, paralysis or numbness usually on one side of your body.

• Unexpectedly find difficult to speaking or understanding.

• Finding difficulty in vision. Sudden blurred, double or decreased vision.

• Feeling of tiredness, weakness & dizziness, with no body coordination.

• Loss of balance.

• A sudden, severe headache or an unusual headache, which may be accompanied by a stiff neck, facial pain, pain between your eyes, vomiting or altered consciousness.
